Overview
Coinme provides cryptocurrency buying, selling, and storage services across most of the United States. This article explains how to verify if Coinme is available in your area, why service availability varies by location, and how we're working to expand access to more customers.
Your ability to use Coinme depends on your state's cryptocurrency regulations. We're continuously working to expand access while maintaining full regulatory compliance.
International availability
Coinme currently operates only within the United States. We do not offer services to international customers at this time.
If you're located outside the U.S., you won't be able to create a Coinme account or use our services.
Why isn't Coinme available everywhere?
Cryptocurrency regulations vary significantly by state. Each state has its own licensing requirements and consumer protection rules that companies like Coinme must follow.
We only operate in states where we can:
Obtain proper licensing and regulatory approval
Meet all state-specific compliance requirements
Provide you with secure, fully compliant service
This approach ensures your funds are protected and your transactions meet all legal standards in your jurisdiction.
Important: State regulations change regularly. Even if Coinme wasn't available in your state previously, we may have since expanded access to your area.
How to check if Coinme is available in your area

2. Use the "Find a Location" feature in the mobile app
Open the Coinme mobile app

Allow location access or search by city or zip code
Browse available service points on the map near you
3. Check during account creation
If you haven't created an account yet:

Enter your address during registration
The app will immediately notify you if services are unavailable in your state
What happens if Coinme isn't available in my state?
If you attempt to create an account from an unsupported state, you'll receive a clear notification during the registration process. This prevents you from spending time on account setup in areas where we can't yet provide service.
