How to receive cryptocurrency

What to expect when someone sends crypto to your Coinme Wallet

Updated this week

Receiving cryptocurrency means another wallet is sending funds directly to your Coinme Wallet address. Once the sender initiates the transfer, the crypto will appear in your balance after the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain.

Mobile App

Step 1: Tap "Receive" on the home screen

From the home screen, tap Receive in the bottom navigation bar.

Step 2: Select the coin you want to receive

A list of available cryptocurrencies will appear. Tap the coin you want to receive.

Step 3: Share your wallet address or QR code

Your wallet address and QR code will appear on screen. You have two options:

  • Tap Copy to copy the wallet address and paste it into the sending platform

  • Tap Share Bitcoin Address to send your address directly via messages, email, or another app

Only deposit the matching cryptocurrency to this address. For example, only send BTC to your Bitcoin wallet address. Funds sent using a different network will be lost and cannot be recovered.

What to keep in mind

Each cryptocurrency has its own wallet address. Always confirm you're sharing the correct address for the currency being sent.

Confirmation times vary. Most transactions confirm within minutes, but some may take longer depending on network activity.

Transactions are irreversible. Once a transfer is initiated on the blockchain, it cannot be cancelled or undone.
