I Can't Verify My Debit Card

Common Reasons Why Your Card May Not Be Accepted

  • Your card may not be a supported card type (see list below).

  • Your card might be expired and needs to be updated.

  • The debit card must be in your name only, as cards in other names cannot be accepted.

  • Coinme cannot accept debit cards linked to business accounts.

  • Your bank may be blocking or declining transactions with Coinme.

  • Your account might be locked, or you might be in an area where Coinme services aren't supported (e.g., Vermont).


Supported Cards

Cards Currently Accepted:

  • Debit Mastercard only for Buy transactions

  • Debit Visa card for Buy and Sell transactions

  • Prepaid cards issued by traditional banks

Cards currently not accepted:

  • Credit cards

  • Gift cards

  • Cards from digital-only banks such as Varo, Current, PayPal, and Venmo

  • Debit cards linked to business accounts

Pro Tip: The best practice is to use a debit card from a Bank or Credit Union that is FDIC approved
